Agility, Oulu 3.5.2014

finflag Kätyri (Big-Wood’s Nobody’s Fool) ja Pia Alatorvinen ovat kevään aikana tehneet  kaksi nollaa kakkosluokassa. Viimeisimmällä tuli luokan voitto Oulussa. Kovasti onnea!

Well done Kätyri!

finflag Kätyri (Big-Wood’s Nobody’s Fool) ja Pia Alatorvinen tokoilivat Oulussa 26.4.2014 VOI1-tuloksen pistein 260, jolla heltisi myös voittajaluokan voitto. Hienoa ja treeni-intoa erikoisvoittajaluokkaan!

Kätyri on kevään aikana palkittu myös Suomen welsh corgi seura ry:n vuoden 2013 menestyneimpänä toko-cardiganina.

ukflag Kätyri (Big-Wood’s Nobody’s Fool) and Pia Alatorvinen won their obedience class (winner class) at Oulu 26.4.14 and qualified to the highest obedience level. Congratulations!

Kätyri has also been awarded  ” Top Winning Obedience Cardigan in Finland 2013″.

Agility, Oulu 16.3.2014

finflag Pätkis (Big-Wood’s Kultu Kimallus) ja Minna Väyrynen aloittivat yhteisen agility-uransa hienosti. MINI-1 -luokassa kaikki kolme rataa olivat virheettömiä ja niistä yksi alitti ihanneajan, joten se kirjattiin kilpailukirjaan luokan vaihtoon oikeuttavaksi tulokseksi (LUVA). Pätkis sijoittui myös joka startissaan kolmen parhaan joukkoon. Hienoa Minna ja PätPät!

Hello Crufts, Hello Kusti!

finflag Vuosittaisella Cruftsin reissulla vietettiin aikaa Eileenin ja Kilvroch-cardien luona. Kusti (Big-Wood’s Gruffudd Gritus for Kilvroch) oli heittänyt turkkinsa Englannin keväässä pesiään rakentaville pikkulinnuille, eikä näin ollen osallistunut itse näyttelyyn. Kuvattua se kuitenkin saatiin. Reissu oli todella mukava. Siitä erityiskiitokset Tarjalle, Eileenille ja tietenkin muulle VPI-väelle eli Pirittalle, Kirsillex2 ja Pirjolle, joiden kanssa yksikään Coventryn tolokku myymälä ei jäänyt kääntämättä!

Reissun kohokohtia oli lauantain Junior Handler-finaalin seuraaminen hieman eri kantilta. Slovakian edustaja, 13-vuotias Nikol Pisoňová oli halunnut esitettäväkseen cardiganin, joten toimme Kennelclubin kutsumina Eileenin Tuttin (Kilvroch Enchantress) hänen kisaparikseen. Nikol esitti Tuttin kauniisti, mutta sijoitusta ei tällä kertaa kovatasoisesta joukosta irronnut. Hurrasimme myös kovasti 10 parhaan joukkoon päässeelle Suomen edustajalle Vilmalle.

ukflag During my annual trip to Crufts, I visited Eileen Eby’s and her Kilvroch Cardigans with my friend Tarja Peltola. It was a pleasure to meet Kusti (Big-Wood’s Gruffudd Gritus for Kilvroch), go walk with him and took some photos. Unfortunately he was too naked to took part to Crufts, but maybe next time 😉 Thank you Eileen for your hospitality!

One of the top-moments were International Junior Handling Competition, where Eileen’s Tutti (Kilvroch Enchantress) did a nice work with 13 years old Nikol Pisoňová from Slovakia. It was very interesting to follow their day from the very first meeting to a big final in the big Arena before group judging. I have to say, that I was also very proud of our Finnish Vilma Helle, who was one of those 10 very last finalists. Congratulations! I’d like to send special greetings also to Mr South-Africa, Miss Spain and the BIG winner Mr Canada 😉

Mint and her puppies

finflag Mint (Big-Wood’s North Troll Girl for Liebehund) on saanut pentuja Englannissa Jo & Martyn Lovellin Liebehund -cardiperheeseen. Pentujen isänä on Jon oma kasvatti Liebehund Dream Lord, kotoisammin Comfrey. Pääsiäisenä  me “Suomi-mummut” – Hanna-Kaisa ja minä – matkustamme katsomaan näitä Liebehund Kolikoita.

ukflag Mint (Big-Wood’s North Troll Girl for Liebehund) has free whelped lovely puppies to Lovells’ Liebehund kennel. The proud father is Liebehund Dream Lord aka Comfrey. “Proud Finnish Grandmas” (Hanna-Kaisa & I) will travel to see those Liebehund’s “Coins” on Easter.
